In the first of two sets of conversations, Aaron Graham, Cathleen Sarti and Jeannette Kamp explore the Northern-European part of this system, discussing the role of London, Amsterdam and the Baltic as key hubs for the transfer of resources ranging from money to munitions, as well as the often shady individuals involved.
This seminar will be held online on June 3rd 2020.
In the second conversation, John Condren and Michael Martoccio will explore how the city republics of Geneva and Genoa functioned as key hubs for the transfer of resources between theatres of war (such as northern Italy and the Netherlands). Such resources ranged from money to munitions, and this conversation also discussed the often shady individuals involved.
This seminar will be held online on June 17th 2020.
